Roots use as many organic ingredients as possible in each formula. Many products cannot be classed as 100% organic due to the fact that they must be made with water and water is not classed as organic as it has been filtered, treated and deionised.
The usage of organic ingredients depends on;
Availability: a large amount of natural ingredients are simply not being developed organically yet.
Registration: unless an ingredient is registered with an organic control body such as ‘The soil association’ and ‘Organic Farmers & Growers’, we will not use it. This ensures that the organic ingredients we do use, truly are organic.
Costs – some organic ingredients cost over 4x the amount of the natural equivalents – we want to keep the costs down for you, the customer, to be able to use and benefit from our products.
We like to stay up-to-date and constantly moniter the market and analyse each organic ingredient accordingly, to be used in our formulas.
